Bamboo Equity Partners has acquired the former St. Louis Community College building at 300 S. Broadway St. in downtown St. Louis on August 5, 2020.
The 93,000 SF historic, vacant building is adjacent to Busch Stadium and will be developed into a mixed-use building, building on the density created in the latest phase of the Ballpark Village expansion. Bamboo purchased the building for $3.6 million, with Ed Backer of sister company, Intelica CRE, representing Bamboo in the deal.
"This was a once in a lifetime deal to be next to one of the most iconic stadiums in the world," Bamboo founder and Managing Principal Dan Dokovic said. "Cardinals baseball is a religion here and to get the opportunity to be this close ... that's what excites us."

"The building is beautiful, so we are going to extensively renovate it, rather than tear it down. Things like natural light, access to outdoor and other healthy living aspects will define what makes a property a worthy investment. The opportunity will be on quality real estate that makes people feel good," explains Alice Benner, Principal and Managing Director.
